we are so glad you are here

We have been privileged to witness God's Word at work, transforming countless lives. We have seen Christians from different churches forge genuine friendships, and we have witnessed Christians mature as they deepen their knowledge and love for God.

In light of this, we have started a fundraising campaign to preserve the continuation of the work of BTI for 2024 and God willing years to come.

What we do at BTI

The mission of BTI is to provide those who desire to follow Christ with a strong biblical foundation for increased knowledge of Him, and to help lead them into maturity in the Christian life, in order to walk in a manner worthy of His calling (Eph 4:1,14-16).

The way in which we hope to fulfil our mission is through these different avenues.

  1. Free high-quality theological courses on Wednesday evenings (3 year curriculum)

  2. Saturday Seminars on important topics that the church is currently facing (4 every year)

  3. Weekly lunch talks working through the foundations of the Christian faith (Systematic theology)

  4. A monthly podcast that discusses good Christian books to build good reading habits

Goals for the Fundraising Campaign

  1. Sustaining Current Operations: Ensure the continuation of BTI's ongoing work, including the provision of high-quality theological courses and spiritual mentoring opportunities. These include BTI theological courses (3-year curriculum), Saturday seminars (4 per annum), lunch talks (Once a week on campus), Podcast (once per month).

  2. Strengthening BTI Offerings: Allocate funds to organise events, seminars, and workshops aimed at fostering unity among the body of Christ in Stellenbosch and its surrounding areas, promoting dialogue, and nurturing a sense of community among participants. Possible opportunities are:

    1. Faith at Work inter-denominational lunch talks in Technopark

    2. Biblical Counselling Training - Facilitation Small Groups

    3. Christian Student Hub in Stellenbosch

    4. Annual Evangelistic Conference

  3. Enhancement of Resources: Invest in improving resources, such as adding a new podcast focused on theology for laymen, and improving technological infrastructure to enhance the learning experience for students.

  4. Outreach and Promotion: Allocate a portion of the funds to expand outreach efforts, raise awareness about BTI's mission, and attract more individuals to participate in the theological courses and activities offered.

  5. Faculty Development: Support the professional development of lecturers by providing resources for their ongoing training, attending conferences, or engaging guest speakers to enhance the quality of teaching.
